Early Spring Meeting - Swinley Forest 19 Mar 26

As usual, the Society's first meeting of the year was held at Swinley Forest Golf Club. 31 players, including 6 guests, competed for the prizes and, for the members, the Claret Jug and the Bill Morris Trophy for players of 70 and over.

The Secretary's task in sorting out the winners was complicated by some excellent performances by the guests. John Blaymires followed up last year's second place by winning the Claret Jug with 35 Stableford points. In the competition for players of 70 and over, two guests, Peter Holland and Mike Pegram, took first and second places on 33 points, with David Hobart winning the Bill Morris trophy as the highest placed member.
