History
The President’s Putter was first presented by John Rutherford during his presidency in 1996. At that time, the Presidents Meeting was held at John Rutherford’s home course of West Sussex Golf Club. Following John's retirement as President in 2011, his successor Air Chief Marshal Sir Patrick Hine chose to keep the venue for the meeting at West Sussex.
Sir Patrick retired at the end of 2022 and, under new president Keith Filbey, the event has moved to Cumberwell Park Golf Club.
