History
The annual match between the Aero GS and the Royal Navy GS has been played since 1968. For the first 3 years it was played at Temple Golf Club, before being relocated to Liphook Golf Club in 1972. In 2023 the venue was again changed and the match was played at Hayling Golf Club. There is no information on the winners of the contest from 1968 to 1972.
The Perfect Green trophy was first presented in 1973 and the trophy engraving now identifies the subsequent winners.
