The Tour Claret Jug
Awarded to the overall winner of the Aero Golfing Society Annual Tour
Current holder - Nigel Dowdall
History
In the late 2000s a few informal tours were organised, but the first formal Aero Tour did not take place until 2013, when at the 2012 Committee meeting it was decided to test the member's appetite for an annual tour. 10 members travelled to Le Touquet in Northern France in September for three days of challenging golf. The then captain, Ray Corstin, felt a trophy for the winner would be appropriate and purchased the above jug in a local shop. Following the inaugural tour's success, it has since become an annual fixture and the jug has been given a more prestigious appearance with a suitable base.
